The Greek letters (Greek Alphabet) have been used to write the Greek language since the late 10th century BC or early 9th century BC. It was derived from the earlier Phoenician alphabet, and was the first alphabetic script to have distinct letters for vowels as well as consonants.

The Greeks were known for their rational and analytical approach to the world, and many of their ideas and theories still inform contemporary thought.

Education was highly valued in Ancient Greece with boys receiving formal education from age 7 onwards while girls received informal education at home.

Philosophy was an integral part of education with philosophers teaching ethics, politics, and metaphysics among other subjects.

Science is another aspect that contributed greatly to the advancement of Ancient Greek civilization; perhaps one of its most notable contributions is Archimedes’ law on buoyancy which is still applicable today.

Science flourished during Ancient Greece with scholars like Archimedes making significant contributions to mathematics and physics.

Medicine also advanced with Hippocrates introducing ethical standards for doctors.

Art was also very important for Ancient Greeks with architecture playing significant roles not just in beauty but functionality and symbolism – like temples built to serve religious purposes, while literature included epic poetry created by poets like Homer or plays written by playwrights such as Sophocles or Euripides

The lifestyle of the Ancient Greeks was centered around agriculture, fishing, and trade. They had a strong sense of community and social hierarchy based on birthright or wealth. Men were expected to participate in public life while women were confined to domestic duties. Slavery was also prevalent in Ancient Greece.

Democracy originated in Athens during Ancient Greece whereby citizens would meet at town hall meetings (ecclesia) where they could voice out their opinions on matters affecting them; making decisions by voting using majority rule – this became known as Athenian democracy.

Ancient Greeks were known for their theatrical productions, including tragedies and comedies. These performances were an important part of their cultural and religious celebrations.

Sports were an integral part of Ancient Greek culture with events like the Olympics held every four years featuring athletic competitions like running or wrestling.
