Close to the beaches of Kalo Livadi and Agia Anna, 3,5 Kilometers from Ano Mera, it is one of the biggest, but not busiest, beaches in the island. Situated at the back of Ornos, also at a bay facing the North, Korfos is affected by the “meltemia” (northern summer winds), which make the place ideal for windsurfing, but not for swimming or sunbathing. Very close to Mykonos town, 2 km South of it, it makes part of the whole settlement.

This sandy beach at the Southeastern side of the island is located 14 kilometers from Chora. A wise choice for those who want to enjoy clear blue waters in an atmosphere of complete serenity. This is the closest beach to Mykonos Town, at a distance of about 600m south. The name Megali Ammos means ‘big sand’ and it is a good place to relax on the sand or walk along a stretch of sand. A small traditional Greek taverna located just a few footsteps from the water’s edge.
The public stadium of the island, fully renovated, is situated here; all facilities are available for the tourists. In the small port of the beach facilities of anchorage, as well as fuel and water supply are offered to yachts. Along, wide stretch of sand, as its name implies, this is probably the busiest beach of all. Fine sand, blue-green waters, low hills and rocks, good hotels and restaurants. Excellent accessibility. It also serves as a” marine terminal” with frequent boat rides to the southern beaches.
Big sandy beach, in the southern part where the largest camping site of the island dominates. Intense beach fun and multiethnic audience. Synonymous to Mykonos this beach has been famous since the Hippies period, in the late ’60s. Besides its magnificent waters, it offers visitors a variety of activities. The busiest and one of the most beautiful beaches of the island, large with fine sand and mixed audiences. Famous afternoon parties at the bar-restaurants. Equally famous with Paradise, it is located in a landscape of exquisite beauty. This beach attracts mainly young crowds, with loud music and all day and night beach parties. Nudity is permitted. Access is possible by bus or a boat from Platis Gialos.
2 km north to Mykonos town(Chora) is found Tourlos, a beach and a low touristic settlement developed along the street leading to Chora, very popular for walking. At Tourlos it is located the new port of the island, with facilities both for the vessels of the line and the yachts. The new ring-road of Mykonos starts here.
